Big Foot Decoy Question

Years ago I saw floating keels that replace the feet on original Big Foot decoys. Did these work and can you still get them anywhere? I've searched the net and have come up short.

RE: Good powder to bullet wt. ratio?

I shoot muzzy four blades at deer with my bow, and sometimes don't get a blood trail for up to fifty yards on a good pass through shots. I shot a cow elk today at 35 yards with a 348 grain powerbelt...

RE: How is it going?

Our muzzleloader deer season runs concurrently with our muzzleloader elk season in WA. It started on Oct. 7th and ended today. I killed a 35" bobcat last monday with my Traditions .50, and killed a...

RE: power belts?

I shoot a Traditions .50 cal. I use a 348 grain power belt with 130 grains of pyrodex pellets for elk. I would think your 245 grain with 100 grains of powder would be sufficient for deer and boar....

RE: Does Everyone Know about the "Inner Tenderloins"?

I cut them out immediately, put them in the fridge and age them a few days, even better than right off the deer..........if I can wait!

RE: Calling

It's a possibility it is just the pitch of the call. Haven't had
any problems with my labs in the past, but our housepet, a min-pin will
howl at the goose call and wont even pay attention to a...

Deer, bear, & moose

I have a Cuddback game cam near my deer stand. I'm getting bear
and moose on film at regular times during the day, but deer only at
night. Does anyone know if whitetail would be avoiding the area...

RE: Hunting from the ground

I took my first buck from the ground. I set up so the deer walked just past me before I could see it, then it didn't see me draw. It makes for a slight quartering shot, which isn't optimal, but...

Layout Blinds

Anyone try the Final Approach Eliminator Express. Looks good for the price, but don't know how it compares to the more expensive ones. I'm 5-8, medium build so size isn't an issue.

RE: Calling all Washington State duck hunters!

Colville. Hunting is hit and miss up here until later season. Local birds get educated fast early. Columbia river can be good, scouting is a must. Chewelah valley is great when it floods.

RE: lanyard

Ebay. Research what they cost elsewhere, pay attention to shipping and you can usually get the best deal.

My brother-in-law has a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, wonderful water dog, great nose on uplands too. I just lost my lab and I'm going to try a Chessie.

RE: Goose Decoy Set ups?

I like family groups and different patterns depending on time of the year, later in the year, less decoys. I never face all the decoys into the wind. I've never observed geese in a field facing into...

RE: Posession limits?

In Washington State, possession limit no longer applies once the meat is processed, such as made into jerky, etc. Someone told me that after it is frozen it no longer counts, but I can't find the...

RE: goose call

I like the Big River Long Honker in wood, easy to blow, sounds better than the plastic.
