It's a lot better in a ground blind because of the fact that you get closer to the animal, and it's more challenging, sitting in a tree stand is effective for killing the deer yes, but it's not...

Once you go ground blind you'll never go back. Treestands are nice once in a while, but then you always have to worry about the angle of shot, and branches are less visible. Also a lot more dangerous!

topgun, did you even think about what you wrote and why? 8,000 acres is a TON of land to grow big bucks, especially fenced in! Your from Michigan, 8,000 acres is probably the size of your county..

i LOVE hunting from the Ground blind. I do not like treestands at all. I'll hunt in them but i'd much rather be in a ground blind. I highly recommend them!

Not always they'll be dead with a shoulder shot, i shot an 8 pointer a few years ago with rage 2 blade and punched through both shoulders, ran across the field with no front end and found him bed up...

Don't get down on yourself man.. More than likely if you haven't found him by now, he's still alive. I've gut shot 1 deer and tracked him and looked for him for a week and a half and never found him....

Yes he is an older deer that was probably once much larger, however i dont think he'd score over 100. Just no tine length, mass or spread. I'd Def. take him though!
