RE: Slug or 00 Buck for hogs?

If it's a smooth bore barrel, shoot rifled slugs. I've killed plenty of deer with them at 50+ yards, as well as a black bear.

RE: European mount Pics

Looks great!

I had my Wyoming buck done in the Euro style a few years back, and I'm going to try my hand at it myself with the one I got earlier this season. I hope it comes out as nice as yours!

another Hoyt splitter

According to Hoyt, their split limbs are actually supposed to last longer they way they make them. Uniform geometry, no stress concentrators.

RE: Vote please!!!!

Good start, looks promising.

I hate it when music automatically comes on. Needless to say I had my speakers on a lot louder than I thought.

I'll keep an eye on it for your updates.

RE: Wrapping Venison

We vacuum seal our burger and stew meat, but not the steaks or roasts.

Gathered up whatever your wrapping, wrap it in freezer wrap and then wrap that in freezer paper. Easy to lable, and I've...

RE: Help Looking For A New Bow

You having all the accessories makes it a lot easier!

All the major guys have their budget bow lines. Hoyt has Reflex, Matthews has Mission (Pretty sure that's right), and Ross bows tend to be a...

RE: Whats a good drop away rest?

I shoot a Trophy Taker, mainly because it was what was on my bow when I bought it, but it's been really good to me. I also like the Schaefers, and the Spot Hogg drop away.

As far as sights, I...

RE: Regular 2'' Blazer or QuickSpin 2'' ???

I liked the way the blazers flew better with my setup. I get really nice groups, and they fly great with broadheads and field points.

The Quickspins made a lot more noise then I was comfortable...

RE: Help Looking For A New Bow

I bought my bow used prior to last season and it had only been shot in one tournament. You can avoid online troubles when looking for a bow by going to local pro-shops. They will usually have bows...

How is someone discharging a weapon while trespassing not a threat?

According to his local law he would have been justified in using force. The man fired the rifle. He wasn't prancing through...

RE: hardest kill EVER!! with a BOW

Groundhog with a bow.

Pinned him in his hole, and when I walked up to retreive him and my arrow, he was still trying to get a piece of me.

Tough little bugger!

RE: arrow weight of 316.9

Accuracy isn't dirctly related to speed.

Mass and velocity ARE directly related to down range kinetic energy.

At 69# with a hunting arrow of proper spine and a 100 grain tip, you'll be...

I...

I have a few thoughts on this.

First, people who claim to defend all life wishing death upon another human being speaks for itself. Hypocracy is alive and well in the animal rights community.
