Until you figure out the form and draw length, find an old tube sock, (Clean is best) cut out the toe and slide it on your arm to protect from the slap and cut down on the fear.

Everyone is giving the best advice. Shoot only at ranges you feel comfortable at. No mater who the archer is, the odds drop as the range gets longer. I'll bet that the majority of the shots taken on...

I can see how heat might cause one to bend. I have a couple of old ones in the garage and it is hot here in Texas. Perhaps it is testing time.

I used to do this as a hobby. It does take time to do the mount. If he has to send it out for tanning it can take 3 or 4 months to get it back from the tanner and if not it will take sever weeks to...
