Well since you narrowed it down to the county I guess that i'll fill in the lakes. Camp, Center, Hooker, Silver, and Mongomery. Have duck hunted on them all. Some only have a few spots that are safe...

Which lake? Silver, Camp, Center,Hooker, Montgomery? Yes to all of them. Been hunting these lakes for years. Some only have a few spots that are safe to set up on. Lots of hunter pressure last year...

Try the Big Flats area by Friendship. Just north of Milwaukee you have a large public hunting area off of 45 by Jackson.

I've seen outfits advertising hog hunts in Tx for $250-$350 per day. Is that a good price? I was thinking of taking my 14 year old down there for the experience and visit an old friend in Round Rock....

Swampthing is correct. Also try to blend the blind in with natural vegetation so that it looks like a grassy noll and not a duck blind.

Here in Wi. you'll be happy with a 243 for an all around rifle. Later on when you can afford it you can add a 223 and a 30-06. Then get a bigger gun safe... etc ...:)

I have 3 Ruger 10-22's. One I built into the ultimit tree rat gun. After market stock, 16" bull barrel with a fixed 6X scope. Trigger is the best of the 3 guns so have left it alone for the time...
