For exotics or hogs i use an AR mostly. Shot placement is critical but I hunt them for meat and shoot them in the head. Trophy hunting I sue either my Steyr 25-06 or my Browning A-bolt in 300WSM.

Colt Gold cup is my favorite but I am not sure if it is in the budget. You would have to search to find one for that I think. I also have a colt defender that i like alot but it is not as comfortable...
