CO Dept of wildlife announced that there will be a reduction in license sales for deer and possibly elk for the 2008 hunting season do to high mortality rates. This will be evaluated on unit by unit...

There were several sitings in the lst four years, somobody sent a picture of a mother and 2 cubs south from the Ind passand it was published in Denver post last year. Papa bear was not in thepicture....

CO has a lot of leftover tags for deer and elk, check the regulations for 08 and you can find out which units had extra tags after the drawing. You can get 2 deer and 2 elk leftover tags, also otc...

i've seen it too, fred was all excited like always. i would be more carefull of grizlies than bigfoot in certain parts of colorado, but this is more fun. ;)

Also, Evergreen, you can see them and hear them arround lake on the club side, and in themorning see them arround the creek on the west side of town. That is even closer to Denver than EP.

Area around Estes Park is quite loud in September and early October, that is 1hr drive from Denver. You can see and hear them in the city on the golf course.
