Get a SD card and a card reader so you know what you get. Also, some of these cameras just don't work at all. Moultries are like that,I know, I have had one that didn't work.

You do have to have a rechargeable battery for it to work. I had one without the terminals and I stuck the wires through the hole for the sensor and clipped to the battery. It worked fine that way...
