RE: Green Swamp update..

I've spent some time in Green Swamp. Its so much easier to whack a deer above the FL state line. You FL hunters are hard core.

RE: day after ice storm...go out?

can't kill them in bed. Besides, once the day has passed you no longer have the option of having hunted it.

RE: Deer Rifles

You don't need much smack for 150 yards on deer. It'd be worth it to try the 125 grain Federal loads and the Leverevolution Hornadyy loads before discounting the .30/30. Those loads have more...

RE: Swift

They're Korean made to US specs with US lenses. The warranty is that if yours goes bad, you take it back to where you bought it and they trade a new one for your old one. Swift has a great reputation...

RE: Replacing front bead on 336

Firesights are sold by Williams Gun Sights. I have a set. They're fuzzy when its bright out, but good enough for deer. They're about as bright as a fiber optic pin on a bow sight. I think that if you...

RE: 23ft sluggun drop from a tree

Those Baker stands were death traps. I saw one for sale on a forum a couple months ago. I believe you could be convicted for homicide if they proved you gave it to someone you disliked.

RE: question about lasers?

They sell spotlights that mount on top of the scope for that. Its a narrow focus beam. You adjust it to coincide with your point of aim.

RE: My Gun Stock I Am Making In School

The edges and angles are stylish. The proportions look to be way off for an average sized guy.

RE: 6.5x55 Swede Mauser ammo.

The Remington will work fine. About all the ammo you can get is loaded down for weaker actions. I don't know which action you have, however if its strong enough to handle modern pressures I would try...

RE: reloading in small spaces

They make stuff for this. You can find a very small bench with interchangeable tops on Midway USA. That or something like it as you are discussing above would work well.

I use a Lee hand...

RE: Primos bleat cans!

A button buck is easily identified if it is alone. Small deer with short faces by themselves are usually young males. A young doe will find other does to follow. A young male that tries that would be...

RE: Toughest Scope rings and Bases?

Conetrol makes the strongest mounts by weight. Seekins, Badger, et al have to overbuild the picatinny design just to get close.

RE: good climber

What? The Tomcat is as much as ten pounds lighter than most other stands. If ya drop ten pounds off the gut or whatever, then you're twenty pounds lighter going into the woods.

Pretty good move...

RE: One scope for a slug gun and a rifle?

There may not be enough eye relief depending on where you mount the scope on the shotgun. The spacing of the rings may be different from one gun to the other.
