I've never used an AccuTrigger, but have heard it's good. What don't you like about it? (looking to learn, not flame)

RE: offtopic, marrage

Bronko-
There is a FINE rifle range just a few miles from the Falls (US-side). You just might want to bring the toys along!
Targets out to 300 yards.

RE: Knight rifles ceasing?

Like rdpettit, I must be missing something-I am very happy with my Pro Hunter. I am certain there are many very good muzzleloaders out there, and I hope to try them. But the PH is a very long way...

RE: smokless in a pro hunter

In a recent Hunter Education class, one of the people taking the course mentioned that she was told a Pro-Hunter could be used with smokeless powder. You wonder where this stuff comes from. After...

RE: OFF Topic but relevent, Obama Pushing Treaty To Ban Reloading -- Even BB guns

Well armed, perhaps. But we are not united in any way to oppose these laws. Most do not support any organization working to stop these silly and worthless changes. We, all of us, will complain about...

RE: .45 Colt & .454 casull?

Think: .44 Spl/.44 Magnum, .38 Spl./ .357 Magnum

.454 Brass is a little longer (so you cannot chamber the Casull in a .45 Colt). And the Casull revolver is a LOT stronger gun than a .45 Colt....

RE: Buying one Monday

I really like my Encore P-H. I would like it to cost less, but I am very happy with it.
Nikon Prostaff 3-9x.

Let's face it- there are several great choices for you to consider.

RE: Thanks Wally World!

Yes, we all know profit is a dirty word-- all companies should strive to lose money every day.

You said it best-there is a difference between legal and ethical. You are probably legal. You are...

RE: Looking for Newfoundland Moose Outfitter Recommendations

One of the problems with pricing concerns the US dollar vs. the Canadian dollar.
Now that the Canadian money is worth more, I expect that prices have risen, probably by quite a bit. That "bargain"...

RE: Looking for Newfoundland Moose Outfitter Recommendations

As you probably know, the moose are good sized; the antlers do tend to be smaller than other Canadian Moose. And obviously smaller than Youkon.
Mine was 39-40 inches, and fairly good palms. We...

RE: hand guns in new york

Do a search for Loose Leaf Law books. Their book "Firearms and Weapons Laws in NYS" will help.
Each county will screw up the laws in its own unique way.
Good Luck

RE: Which would you rather eat?

I'm surprised about Texas antelope. The ones I had from Wyoming were very good- as good as any venison.
Probably something different in the diet of the animal.

RE: Any Newfoundland Hunters Here

Took my moose from near Glenwood last fall. I cannot wait to get back for another hunt. Newfoundland is a great place to visit, probably the best part of Canada.

RE: .44 mag or .454 casull

Hard to make a bad choice with the two calibers. I find that the .44 is, for me, a better choice. I have a Colt Anaconda and a S&W 629.These handle my handgun hunting chores quite well. If and when I...
