Great choice. I just bought one with a 69.00 3x9 Bushnel scope.
The scope was inexpensive. I was really surprized how clear the glass was even in fog.

A friend of mine whois a taxidermist had several deer laying on the ground and told me to go look at a nice 10 pointer. Upon closer examination I realized someone had shot at this deer from a tree...

I was just thinking about this today while hunting a new parcel of land in Ohio. I agree with all the posts but one thing I usually do especially hunting new land is to clear a spot on the ground...

I practice 600 yard shots with Kentucky Windageand a .300 Weatherby. This year I've had two standing shots at 315 yards, they dropped dead standing.

I had a 468 yard shot at a doe in the prone...
