Upstate S.C. Deer Hunting

Yes killed many with it. over all I pefer it to the 30-30 for shorter shots 100 yards and in. Better knock down power than the 30-30

As far as knowing what he is trailing you won't at first. Rabbits usually run 100 to 200 yard circles depending on how thick the cover is, a Doe will run the same circle except much bigger usually...

I agree with One on One, its warm in Georgia so we skin, quarter, and ice the meat as soon after the deer is taken as possible. Since I started doing this I have not had a single deer taste "gamey"...
