To get the use out of your feeder ..the best thing is to buy one..if finances is a problem any size barrel will do..cut out a small opening in side of barrel at bottom and let it gravity feed...

Concrete will work to..They have a pool mix. this what ppl use on their inground pools..just sand and cement no rock..just get wet enough to make it stick together; if not you'll have a mess..smooth...

Buck Jam...Is a good product..I used it on a dead limb that fell out of tree ;somehow they dragged it off 20 feet from where it fell.. not sure why but must been a big one that limb was massive..:D

Go with the granuals..Takes alot of rain to melt that rock..I would get both that way they would have salt year round..Just dont put both in same place..Two is better than one..;)
