RE: Buck without gonads?

My dad's friend killed a buck with no gonads as well. The antlers looked like a cactus. The wildlife biologist said that is typical for the situation. Typically they do get caught on a fence is what...

Here is the link for the new regulations. There are very few parishes that have specified doe days now. If you are hunting in Natchitoches parish you'll be just like us.

RE: Do deer eat

Here in LA it is illegal to put out sweet potatos (about the only thing illegal to put out) so I guess the answer would be yes. I don't know about regular Idaho potatos.

RE: Louisiana gets Tags for doe

I think it's a great idea. Like you say, now you don't have to keep up with doe days. Also if I just want meat I can take a doe whenever rather than relying on specific days to try and get one. My...

RE: Couple of seed questions

It doesn't hurt to try and plant them. You might need to up the seed rate to make sure you have enough germination. As for corn and soybeans, soybeans are usually planted at this time corn is...

RE: What do I use?

You might try soybeans. Mix it with the corn to begin with so the deer get used to it. It provides more protein. For added calcium and phosphorus I'm not sure. You could try one of the do it yourself...

RE: When is the best time to plant in the south?

If it's as dry as it was this year, no time is a good time to plant unless you irrigate. We planted shortly after Katrina and got some growth but the lack of rain really hurt. According to most sites...
