I would try using a larger bullet versus the 245. You didn't say what charge you are using 100 or 150 grains. I would switch to the 295 PB's and use a little bore butter on the PB's caps. Cayugad has...

If you shoot the Aero tips, you should use a special tip. I have on so you don't damage it while loading it. If you shoot the hollow points, you can use the same tip. It doesn't cost much to attain...

Same here, can't find it.... I picked some up atWally World last year on sale and I shot them as killing 2nd shots or fun shots since the price is so much better than Power Belts.

I too have a nice traditional, Lyman Trade Rifle 50 cal. It can shoot about anything you put into it, from round balls to power belts. It's a nice flint rifle, and use the English flint.
