I had the same problem when i got my boyds thumbhole stock,, I took the OEM T/C bolt to the local hardware bought a 3/4" longer one for 17 cents.. hope that helps

for whats its worth I had trouble with my remington igniting 777 pellets even with the 209, I went back to 2 50grain pyrodex pellets pushing a 250grain hornady sst and have hadgood results....
