quail release?

I'm looking to better our quail population in southwest georgia. we have prime habitat, but low numbers of coveys. what is your opinion on releasing quail and the pros and cons? or any other ideas?

Sawtooth oaks are good for a quick acorn yield. I have planted about 150 or so in the last 2 years. We order ours through the georgia forestry commission. planting times here are january and feb....

I wear scent-lok, but would suggest looking into medalist camo. It uses silver which is proven to kill odor causing bacteria.

And that is sadly the problem with the dnr in a lot of states. If does were open all season, (as they should be in in in 98% of the cases) people would be much more likely to pass up on a 1 1/2 year...

WRONG!!!!! I have been chased back to the boat many times by cottonmouths here in the swamps in Florida that were not provoked in any way, and have gone out of their way to give chase to a grown man...
