RE: Legal poaching

If it is legal, it ain't poaching.

Yes in many states you are allowed to take nuisance animals, you just cant' utilize meat or fur. At least this is my understanding.

RE: 10-22 Magnum

James, I have the 10-22 mag and have had it for 3 hunting seasons. They need a little breaking-in, for the first 300-400 rounds you need to clean the chamber every 50 or so rounds, nothing elaborate...

RE: Mole Trapping

RE: What is the best .22 bullet

As for the coyotes with the l.r. I would recommend velocitors, and really pick your shots. Rabbits are not very hardy, any ammo you can shoot in the 10-22 will kill rabbits. As with any hunting, pass...

RE: .22 CCI Stingers

Yes, but it has been my experience that velocitors hold together and give better penertration. If you have a choice, use the Mag. and Win. 40 gr. jhps, providing they are accurate enough .

RE: Use your dog for coyote bait?

"Marshins" won't land here anymore. Since we shot down the mother-ship, they just do fly-by's. "Dog gets loose" find a Boyscout to teach you how to tie knots! "Gets lost" hunting dogs don't get lost!...

RE: Coyotes and .22 Magnum?

Yes, it will take them reliably under 100 yards. Lungs shots will generally put them down within 20-80 yards. I would recomend the Win. 40 gr.jhps if your gun shoots them accurately enough, these...

RE: having problems keeping rifle steady.

Just a thought, maybe to much scope or bad fit. Either one of these can cause problems.

RE: DEEP SOUTH DEER HUNTERS

I'm from the south, born and bred, will die here. I haven't got anything against yankee's. Some good and some not worth the air they breathe, just like us, depends on the...

RE: Use your dog for coyote bait?

I have heard of folks doing that, makes sense. I have had to shoot two coyotes and one feral dog while squirrel huning with my Jack Russell. The feral dog was the only one that I know for sure...

RE: is my .22 enough?

With good shot placement, it will kill them. You don't want to take anything but a brain shot. Not knowing your age, hunting experience, or how you plan to hunt them, I'm not telling you to go for...
