yup....change socks once you get to your stand. You'd be suprised the sweat you create going to the stand....once changed out your good to go for the day.

And use a base layer that will wick...

Where we hunt in Va. it seems that is the only tree they will rub...other area's they will rub the cedar's,...

them things are all over Amherst and Nelson county... I stuck one year before last, opening day of bow season... let another walk later in the season...saw two huge yotes while I was hanging a rifle...

see if some mines will let you hunt their land. Buddy of mine lived in Williamston, Wva...worked for one of the mines. Killed a nice buck out that way- also saw alot of game on the property.

also look for the saddles in the ridges...and edges, like thick laurel opening to hard woods....

I'm finding alot of these mountain deer like it thick...

Plus I've seen more bear sign this...
