OK, I'll throw my .02 into the fray....I don't think there's anyreason at all to replace an existingstandard caliber with a like WSM caliber. I have a .300 WinMag...there is no reason I could justify...

IIRC there are two types of BOSS - one that provides recoil reduction (thus venting somegas and noise rearward) and another that is only intended for accuracy improvement...the latter supposedly...

I'll second the Remington 700 Classic in .308 - the last of the Classic series if I understand correctly. Really like the clean lines of the Classic!
