BHB; I guess it all depends on what you want to do with your gun. I only shoot mine several times each spring. I do not use my turkey guns for any other hunting.

Of the 100 or so that I have killed I am going to say more than half were killed in the rain. The birds do not go anywhere. You just have to change the way you hunt them.

I would have left him and came back at about 11 and gave him a shot. Most gobblers will come looking late in the morning. He might not gobble, but just keep your eyes open ..

I had one of the New 5.0 trailscouts. It was junk, had about a 5 foot flash range, both white and IR. Trigger time was awfull. Spen the $$ and get a Cuddeback.
