all of the skulls that i have done(boiled) all told take several hours. i start with a large stock pot and half a bottle of lemon juice(helps eat away bit's of flesh and takes away from the stink)...

any type of baiting here in ny is illegal. any type of salt or mineral lick has to be picked up(if it is near your hunting area) before the season opens. if you want to hunt over a food sourse set up...

lol i only have 37 year old eyes(but need bi/focals) but the area i hunt is very dense with most shots in the 60 to 70 yard range. i just find it easier to use my open sites... as for those red...

i have only had to put 1 deer on ice and that was just a matter of putting 4 bags into the cavity while it was hanging... for the most part any deer i get are skinned and 1/4 the same day.

the dish soap is a good idea but in the future try using lemon juice.
i have also found it easier to pulll the skull out of the water every 20 to 30...
