yea and they still don't have them under control. they are gettin more plentiful in my area of the state thanks to the park service's trap and relocate policy. and those are some bad critters to get...

there are a few public land opps in tn. the big south fork national river and rec area has a special hog season in january and febuary. there is also catoosa wma but ya have to be drawn for that one....

i usually just leave mine in the cooler for as long as it takes for the ice to melt. in warm months i'll only leave it for a few hours and is usually sufficiant to get the job done.

i've used the scents put out by boar hunter magazine in traps with success. i don't still hunt hogs so can't say but i know they'll come to a trap with some sprayed inside. never used that particular...

cuddy ya got a little thing called a shield to go through on a hog unless ya know to wait on a quartering shot, and believe me it isn't that easy to get through.
