i wont take just any rack, but i will take most any doe.
racks are not why i hunt, but there is a limit to what i will shoot for meat as well.
if i see spots, a lot of ribs, or a doe with new...

yea i have the same situation duringearly september with my 18" rubbers. i wearthin wool socks to absorb the moisture then change them as often as i need to during a days hunt.
once it cools down...

18" rubber scent covered with deer poop in the early season.

rubber bottom and leather upper boots in the winter or anything below 40 degrees with deer poop cover scent.

pretty much all i do is stalk, been doing it for quite a few years now. i do use natural ground blinds at times, butnever been in a tree stand.
up close and personal, talk about a heart beating...

as a stalker i get so close that EVERYTHING has to be quiet. and speed is unnecessary for me at 10 to15 yards.
sound travelspretty darn fast,even if your bow shoots 500 fps the deer will here it...

162lbs with 5 inchesto the dew claws, 3 year old monarch.
i stalked her to about 25 - 28 yards. took about an hourwith 4 other doe feeding with her.

if your seeing double of everything you are either not focusing hard enough on the shot, or youare shooting with the wrong hand. meaning, you have a dominant eye situation there like Talondale...
