first bird of the year

got my first bird of the year this morning, went out on my own land for awhile, got down in one of my lower fields and made a call, heard a gobble, so i moved across the field and flanked him a bit...

my dad loves the illuminator calls, they are excellent locator calls cuz they give off a screech sometimes, they are so high pitched the birds go nuts. i think the illuminators are alluminum.

i took the rifle to the range today, shooting 150 grain core-lokts, i have it shooting 1 inch groups at 100 yards and every time its off even a little i notice its because of error on my part

i'm shooting remmington 150 grain core lokt rounds now... should i switch? i will be using the rifle for varmints at ranges up to 300 yards and also for deer... should i use 150's or 130's?
