RE: Savage 10XGP3 22-250 w/ Scope

That's at least as much, if not more than you would pay for it new from a gun shop. Cheaper if you ordered it from walmart or a discout gun wherehouse.

RE: Hunting shows are unrealistic

I don't think that they are always hunting private land with great guides, I'm sure they just don't show the films where there isn't a lot of action. As they shouldn't. Would you watch them for a...

RE: The "Perfect Caliber"

for varminting it is a very poor round. in WW2 they used a 108 grain bullet going 1900 fps. that's twice as slow as a 22-250 so just imagine the drop. plus the rifles that are generally used in this...

RE: New .460 S+W Magnum for deer.

If and when other companies make guns chambered in the round, watch out for recoil. You said the gun didn't fit you well, but the gun is the reason the recoil "feels" like the recoil of a 44 magnum....

RE: Good starter rifle?

The .22 is good for just shooting around, but if you ever wanted to shoot something bigger, or shoot long range I would look at a .223. These are inexpensive to shoot (not as cheap as .22LR) fun, and...

Ruddy you don't seem to make much sense. First you said you have to compare factory ammo to factory ammo to compare the different cartridges, (by the way is definately not true if you ever want to...

RUM is definately slatter shooting and more powerful, espeically if you reload as this cartridge has a lot of capabilites not seen in factory ammo.

RE: 7MM Rem Mag

Look at his post and you'll see he in fact said 300, referring to the 300 win mag and not the 30-06. He was and is right, the 300 can/does shoot flatter and definately with more punch.

RE: bought the savage 110

To get real technical, you measure outside to outside and subtract one caliber (in the case of the 30-06, you woulod subtract .308 inches) but it's basically the same thing. :D
