RE: 75gr muzzy

75 gr. Muzzy is a great head. Flys real well, and give great penetration due to it's 1" cutting diameter. Real good choice for a light arrow or a low poundage bow.

RE: FMJs?

Certain broadheads, like the G5 Striker, require a ring. But they give them to in the package. Shouldn't need them with field points, Montecs, Muzzys, Rages, etc.

RE: Hornady FHP Bullets

Sounds like it worth trying. Is there a particular primer you use with the BH209? And what sort of charge has been accurate? Should I dump out my Jim Shockey Gold? Thanks.

If this subject has already been covered at length sometime in the past, please forgive. I haven't been on this site for over a year. Just got some of these all copper 350 grain bullets. How do they...

RE: Remington Genesis......Talk to me people

I'm pretty happy with mine. I had to rework the trigger to get a crisp 3 lb. pull. It appears to be a very safe gun to pack around in the field in condition one. And it shoots almost as well as my...

I have been playing around with some arrows that are going quite a bit faster than my previous shafts. It seems like, at about 310 fps, the arrow occasionally hits the drop away rest and kicks up...

RE: hog broadhead

Some of the tougher broadheads out there would include the Muzzy Phantom and the G5 Montec. The Montec, in particular, is just about bullet proof.

Get rid of that string/cable as soon as you can. They will continually stretch and create ongoing tuning problems. Take a look at Bucknasty or Winner's Choice as a quality replacement. Also, unless...

RE: Hunt when it's snowing or after it snows?

Out here, snow is often accompanied by strong winds. In this case, they will generally hole up until it's over, then come out and feed like crazy. But if the snow is falling lightly - and not...

I have one of those "tweener" draw lengths - 29 1/4". I have Mathews Outback that currently has a 29" cam on it. I have also purchased a 29.5" cam. Am I better off to stay with the 29" cam, and run a...

Due to the 60 degree angle of the setup, you are never going to get these to feel as sharp as a G5 Striker. They will, nonetheless, cut and penetrate well. I have had pretty good luck finishing up...

RE: 3D/indoor Arrow Help Anyone?

Yes. They are about perfect for 70 lb. bow, when you use normal (28/29) length arrows with regular 100 gr. tips. But when you drop to 60 lbs, the 400 series (200/250 for CE) are the ones you want.

RE: 3D/indoor Arrow Help Anyone?

The Easton Fatboy shafts would also be good "linecutter" arrows. You want a 200/250 in the CE shafts, or a 400 series Easton shaft. At 28 or 29 inches, 60 lb. draw, and with a 100 grain tip; the 400...

RE: Spine me some arrows!

At 71 lbs., you are going to want a 340 series arrow if you are going to run a 28" shaft with 100 grain tips. Shorten the shaft to 26 or 27 inches, and you can get by with a 400 series.
