Encore barrel question.

I have an Encore rifle that I have had for a few years. My question is can I use a barrel from the Pro Hunter line of barrels?

I see in the Nosler Manual they suggest 43.0 grains as the Max. You both suggest 44.0 grains. Interesting.

I read your post and did not realize that they only made 500 of the Silver Elite rifles. I have one and I enjoy shooting it when I can. Hope you enjoy yours.

Take a look at the 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser. Ruger has one and it is a shooter and very little recoil.

I have a 6.5x55 in a Ruger and this is accurate and hardly any recoil to speak of. I think this would be fine for a young female. As mentioned above, this round has many applications.

I have one now for about 5 years. It shoots very well. I use Hornady 129 grain bullets and 100 grain Nosler Ballistic tips.

I have a Ruger that will shoot sub 1/2" groups with Nosler, 140 gr. BT's at 100 yards. I will also shoot sub 3/4" groups with Hornady 139 grain bullets at 100 yards. I feel this is a sweet shooter.

I faced the same decision a few years ago and decided to go with the 6.5 X 55mm Swedish Mauser. I got mine in a Ruger and have been pleased with the way it shoots. I use Hornady and Nosler bullets...

Can you interchange these powders? For example if a load called for 55.0 grains of IMR 4831, could you use 55.0 grains of H 4831 instead?
