I have DD's They are great Bloodtracking dogs, but if you are not going to do anything else with them, such as other hunting. I would recomend a Wirehaired Dachsund they are very good blood tracking...

You may want to look at a versatile breed such as Drahthaars or Kuzhaars. They are commonly used for blood tracking deer also. Check and see if that is legal in your state.
