RE: New rifle

Stick with the 30-06 and 180-gr. Nosler Partitions; after 21 seconds (when the lungs fill with blood), your well-hit moose will fall over dead.

RE: moose ammo for 7mm rem mag?

175-gr. Nosler Partitions / AccuBond or Speer's Grand Slam.

Takes about 21 seconds for the average moose to fall after being shot in the kill zone.

I'm also a 180-gr. man, a Nosler guy who loves heavy for caliber loads.

Deer = 180-gr. Ballistic Tip / Solid Base / AccuBonds

Elk = 180-gr. High Energy or regular Partitions / AccuBonds

RE: Hornady Interlocks?

The AccuBond will provide similar expansion to the Interlock, but with deeper penetration due to the bonded core. It's also more accurate and has a much higher BC.

RE: 30.06 bullets 150gr vs... 180gr

If my 30-06 had to use one bullet for everything it would be 180-gr. Nosler AccuBonds.

Normally, I use 180-gr. High Energy Partitions for elk and 180-gr. Ballistic Tips for dear.
