I had always wanted a .25-06 and finally got one last fall in the Ruger MKII. Shot a doe and 200lb buck with it and both fell in their tracks. It now gets more time in the fieldthan my .270.

I just got back from Florida, killed a 16.5 pounder with 8.25 beard and 1" spurs, this was my first trip to Florida and I had a blast. I was at Richloam WMA for there first 9 day hunt.

Has anybody tried hevi-shot with their Truglo Strut Stopper tubes. I emailed truglo about it and haven' t heard back. I want to try it, mine is an SP-10 with a .695 restriction.

I use an SP-10 with a strut stopper tube and also Win HV #5 with great results. For long hauls a carry my A390 with a .650 rhino.
