1 Qt of 3% Peroxide
1/4 Cup Baking Soda
Tsp of dawn

I think that is the recipe. I know for a fack that works. The skunk hide is in my house now.

I fleshed it, and salted twice. I didn't smell anything, nor did the wife. I now have it in pickle. Man I hope this turns out well.

It went well. I skinned it out just now. Not too bad. The smell never got any worse. I took it out of freezer and let it thaw just enough to spred out the legs and dug in. I had a dust mask...

I have a shunk, it don't smell TOO bad. It is wrapped up in the freezer. How can I get rid of the smell? I need to skin it so I can tan and mount it. Will the pickle stop the stank?

I just started a taxidermy class at the local community College. It is VERY good. I didn't realize all there is to it. I am about half done with a Squrrell. It is more of an art class than anything....

Yeah there is greater detail than my post, and I forgot about neutralizing. But fleshing is much easier if you salt first. Atleast that is what my instructor says and he has been doing this for 30...

Salt, Lots of salt. Roll it up with hair out and leave over night. The next day shake and rub the salt off, then salt it again.
