I also have the Mossberg 500 Combo. Field and slug barrel. It cost me a whopping $300.00 with both barrels and tax included. I love it!!! You couldn't go wrong with looking at the Mossberg 500.

That weapon is irreplaceable, due to it's history. I am not sure what I would do for insurance purposes. I would definitely keep it in a fireproof gunsafe though

Any pump action shotgun would do for a good first time shotgun. I personally just bought a Mossgerg 500 Combo for 300 including Tax. It came with a Field Barrel for shooting shot and a rifled...

Hmm, I shop at Walmart and I would not have any issue with buying a firearm them either if I can save 100 or more off of what I would have to spend at a local gun shop.

Pretty much any 1911 based .45. I have a SA 1911-A1 that I have had for 10yrs + and love it.

The 1911 is time tested.

Actually, I have a problem with the shooting straight up or down.

What about the bullet rising out of the barrel of the gun, isn't that going to cause the bullet to move "sideways" in the up...
