Iam looking into buying a new or used12 gauge shot gun. i was thinking of a double barrel over/under but I also thought about a semi-automatic.I do notwant to spend more than $400. What should i buy?

i am shooting 777 pellets andi thinkthe barrel lenghth is 22 in but it seems to burn all the powder

i am using 150 grains of powder in my 50 cal.Knight Wolverine 209 and i am shooting 250 grain shockwaves. is this to much powder?
