sonar on a pontoon boat

I inherited a '92 pontoon boat that I have put a lot of work into. In just bought a Matrix 17 sonar unit for it but the manual did not have instructions for mounting the transducer on a pontoon...

That is what I was affraid of. Mine already catches small birds out of the bushes and plays with them, does not hurt them, just slobers all over them and leaves them at the door when she comes in....

If you slug hunt as well you may concider a combo. I got the 835 combo with a turkey barrel and a rifled barrel and I love it. Two great guns in one for a very reasonable price.
