I botched a 20 Yard gimmie last fall, and ended up having to make a 55 Yarder to finish it (Shooting Thunderhead 100)... With that said, I shoot everyday out to 60, and many days out to 70, and 80.

My buddies and I used to kill a lot of birds with .20 Ga. when we were younger. I shot a 3" load of #3's out of a Mod. tube... Worked well out to 40 Yards.

As much as Id love to own a Beretta Extrema II, or an Benelli SBE II...its just not in the cards for a High School Junior. The gun is going to be my go-to for everything feathered and small things...

I have "better" guns for the situation, my .300 Win. Mag. shoots flatter and hits harder, but I have more confidence and comfort with that .30-06 than any other Centerfire in my safe...

One thing Ive learned; Pick a Hair, doesnt only apply to bowhunting.Hold your crosshairs on the exact hair you want to hit, and you shouldnt have any problems...

-On a broadside deer, I shoot for low lungs/top of heart
-On a quartering away deer (My favorite) I shoot for the off shoulder
