RE: Remington 870

Excellent choice. Although the 3 1/2 isn't always necessary, it's a nice to have option. I bought my first express super mag from my friend and I loved the thing. He soon regreted it and wanted to...

RE: Does the cold really get the deer moving?

It has been my experince that the cold will get the deer moving. Whenever a cold front has came through, I've seen tons of deer, especially after it snows several inches. Lately it has been warm here...

RE: what shot to use

For small game I like to use 7 1/2 and 6 shot. For pheasants, I usually use no. 5 but on windy days and long shots I like using size 4. I like the Federal PF loads at 1500fps too, I've never shot...

RE: 870 wingmaster

I've seen them go from $150 to $300 in the used gun selection so I would expect you could get one within that range. Just so you know, a brand new wingmaster is $500-550, but eventhough, I wouldn't...

Another vote here for the Harris. Be sure to get the one with the pivot otherwise you will waste all your time fumbling trying to get the rifle level on uneven terrain.

RE: CVA Optima Pro, 50 cal. Nickle MO BU

It wouldn't hurt to try the 130gr 777 pellet load, in fact, that's what my optima shoots the most accurate with with 250gr shockwaves too as well.
