I have the ATR in .270. Shoots great the only thing I don't really like is the heavy trigger pull. It's something like 6 pounds.

Aside from not making out with them, you can cover the head with a plastic bag after the kill. That way you don't touch the eyes either.

Nice pig. I grew up in Waialua and used to hunt pigs near Kaena point all the time. Also had some family in Pahoa that I would hunt with on the big island. Good for the smoker. You guys use dogs?
