i had a hoyt that had the same problem and it was because the rest was set up wrong and i kept shooting it and eventually it completely broke during a target shoot i also shot carbon express...

i have a hoyt and i had it set on a 48 pound pull and i killed a deer with it. You just have to make sure u have a cutting edge broad head and hit the deer in the vital area
