The best way to go its to bait them. Use a some corn and some apples and you will be all set. Try to look for places near rivers or heavy brushes.

About your set up, they aren't really a tought...

Maybe you are rigth about hiting another arrow; even so I always pick diferent spots when I'm shooting broadheads..... I'll try to shoot a little more and see what happend....

I live in North of Mexico and people around here consider unethical to shoot a Doe (Bow or Rifle); even so it is ilegal to shoot a Doe in Mexico.... we don't even have tags...

I'm going Bear Hunting next May to Sashatchewan Canada and I'm planing to use the Snyper Broadhead but I don't Know if Mech are legal over there.
