RE: HUGE MS buck - pics

I agree with the question. That deer's rack doesn't look like most that come out of Mississippi. Even the big boys in MS are usually taller than they are wide. This looks like a mid west farm...

RE: 19 point 350 lb. buck shot near Royersford, PA

If that is the deer your talking about, I can believe that there deer like that and better around Philly. It is a bow only area and not nearly the hunting pressure of surrounding areas. When almost...

RE: examples of ELITISM

More flip flopping than John Kerry. Last week when you were so against gun hunting, in the same posts you said that you gun hunt. It's one thing to like bowhunting more than gun hunting but still...

RE: The beast is dead..unbelievable pics!!

I would guess that he was making a rub....probly got a little stuck and panicked getting himself stuck worse. That 3rd pic really shows it. Once he got that brow tine pushed through the smaller...

RE: Check out my buddy's 16 - 18 point southern Maryland buck!

ssssssssssssweeeeet!! If this guy is killing deer like that every year, put him on the outdoor channel. I'd rather see a real hunter instead of someone who needs to go on 5 guided hunts in 5 states...

RE: No Hunting on Sunday in PA.....Why?

Matt - I'm glad you said that. I definately think the outdoors are for everyone to enjoy, although in my area it drives me nuts to have entire families walking around yelling and playing when I'm...

Spend more time pre season trying to find private property so that next year I'm posting pics of the big one (instead of just reading about them) HA HA

RE: Meat/Trophy Since we're on the subject..

The only way to get a wall hanger is to pass on some younger deer, especially on public land.....That being said, if it's getting to the end of the season and no meat in the freezer.....the 1 1/2...

No Hunting on Sunday in PA.....Why?

I grew up a military brat and hunted in states all over the South East, I've never heard of not hunting on Sundays. Does anyone know what the reason is? Are the deer in Church? Is it a religous...

RE: whisker bisket

I had to be sold on the WB from my proshop at first, but once I started using it I loved it. It is so nice not to have to worry about that arrow coming of when your watching the deer and reaching...

RE: What has been the highlight to your bowhunting thus far?

I was 14 years old when I got my first bow kill. I had been watching Dick Idol on some hunting videos, and he used an arrow against his quiver to imitate rattling. I figured if he could do it, I...

RE: This should heat it up.......

Of course the hunter's personal accomplishment of taking a deer with a primitive weapon is greater than taking one with the most rigged out rifle at 200 yds. But to say that you don't value the...

RE: mechanical broadhead

Just started using mechanicals this year so I can't speak about other brands, but I'm using the 100gr SpitFire. They fly just like field points and they don't have any rubber bands to break or slip...

RE: What do you guys think of this deer?

Definately only a 2 1/2 year old. Flat back and lean belly. He's a great looking young deer, but will probably only ever be an 8....although he would be one heck of an 8 with 2 more years on him.

RE: 2004 Rut Predictions

The deer I've seen have all been either at the very last light or dark. I'm not used to the hunting pressure that I'm finding up here in PA. I thought the deer movment was just a result of so many...

RE: When is the Southeastern PA rut kick in?

Thanks for the responses. I probably won't be able to get our again until Saturday, but that should be perfect for starting to hit the horns. We'll see how it goes. I did see a small 6 or 8 with 3...
