RE: Coyote with .22

I going to hunt some WMA in Ark. that will only let you use .22cal rimfire or Shotgun with #4 buck. I am going to use my .22 magnum. Most of my shots will be inside 50 yards. Cg

RE: coyotes with .243

For me, it would be 300 yards using a solid rest and 80gr bullets. CG

RE: corelokts

I have a 30-06 and a .243 that shoot coreloks great. My only gripe is that at the range when shooting 250 yards and over they have more drop than federal and winchester. They don't seem to have the...

RE: savage accu trigger

I bought a model 11 FNS .243 with the accutrigger and it is the best out of the box trigger I've ever used. This gun shoots inch groups with two over the counter ammo. I think you will find, you did...

RE: remington ammo = junk

I've had 2 duds on the firing range from rem. 30-06. My biggest gripe is they don't seem to put the powder in them that the others do. I have found this in the '06 and .243 win. cg

RE: .243 or .270?

You actually need two guns. I personally have never been satisfied with small grain bullets on larger calibers. The 243 will kill sheep, but on long shots you need something that will anchor him...

RE: what is your favorite yote buster???

Yes, I use a 22 mag on WMA land where they don't allow center fire rifles. i generally hunt more woodsy areas there and my shots are generally less than 75 yards. I use Winch.Super X 40 grain FMJ in...

RE: .223 or .243

I would go with the .243 if you are wanting a combo deer and predator gun. I consider the 25-06 before buying a .243 myself, but after years of shooting long action rifles I wanted to to go to a...

RE: Nikon Pro Staff, Leupy Rifleman or VX-1- opinions?

I would go with the Nikon. I bought the Pro Staff 4wks ago and put it on a new rifle and it sighted in great. It seemed as clear as the leopold and $50 cheaper. It is a winner! CG

RE: Need some advice on 243 bullet

I use the winchester 100gr power-point for deer. The core-loks are good bullets, but the green & yellow cartrides never seem to have the powder like the winchester. When your shooting at 100 yards...

RE: 30-06 Scope --- 3x-9x or 4x-12x?

In my opinion, I would stick with the 3X9. It should be plenty for most shots out to 300 yards. I use 3x9 leopold Vari11 on my model 110 .3006 and a 3x9 Nikon Pro staff on my new model 11 .243 win....

RE: Any MT.Lion's in Arkansas?

I'm not sure of the penalty, but it is against the law to shoot one. This is under the closed seasons part of Wildlife regulations.HH CG

RE: Loads for deer

I use 180 grain Fed premium nosler partitions. The main reason I use this heavy bullet is because my 110 savage will shot 1 inch groups. In fact most of the 180 grain bullets will shoot good groups...
