RE: Ripcord, QAD, or Trophy Taker rest?

The QAD is not the fastest rest on the market and if you have a really fast bow (or at least faster than average) you probably could have clearance issues. I've heard there is a way to tighten the...

RE: Lone Wolf Treestands

I have the Alpha hang on and four sticks. The sticks are rock solid on the tree and the stand doesn't make a peep when your in it. The fact you can fold the seat back to stand is a plus. My only...

RE: Ripcord, QAD, or Trophy Taker rest?

I love my QAD. The RipCord is a copy of the QAD concept, but isn't as convenient to use. The TT is a good rest; I put one on my daughter's bow and she seems to like it. The disadvantage is it doesn't...

RE: central OH bow stores?

The one great thing about Ohio is there is an abundance of public land to hunt. It gets out of control during gun season, but great for archery. Plus, a number of the municipalities around Columbus...

RE: central OH bow stores?

It's a 25-30 mile drive, but I always use Buckeye Outdoors in Hebron (just north of I-70 at the Buckeye Lake exit). They cater to all types of hunting and fishing and have a pretty good archery...

RE: Ohio Hunters

Why is it that everyone outside of Ohio thinks we have huge deer crawling out of the woodwork, while a lot of Ohio hunters go out of state looking for better hunting opportunities??

RE: QAD UltraRest - vane contact

I believe that rest should be shot with the cock vane either straight up or down, but not to the side. I initially shot mine with the vane down and did notice some minor fletching contact on the...

RE: Arrows fletches on wrong(or different)?????

Whether the cock vane is up, down, or sideways is largely a function of the rest you are using. If you need that vane in a different direction, it won't hurt to turn the nock to get the orientation...

RE: string silencers question?

I put mine as close as I can to the cams, which is about 3 to 4 inches because of the serving. You should try them in different locations and see what works best on your set-up.

RE: Upgrading need advice.

I would highly recommend the QAD Ultra Rest for a containment/drop away system. The pro version is a little pricey, but if you can get the hunter model it's essentially the same thing for about half...
