I keep hearing about how many coyotes there are out there. I live in Southeast GA and there are supposed to be a good number of them out here as well, but I've sure never seen one.

Does anyone...

then I have a question for you.

I have a Garmin Etrex Vista and it has a selection for the best times to hunt. It will give you a prediction for either a poor, good, or excellent day for...

RE: Why is my bow not shooting faster?

well, I'm not sure what kind of arrows I'm shooting. I'll check and then repost. It's a peep without a tube attached. Can't remember if I mentioned it originally or not, but I'm using a biscuit...

Why is my bow not shooting faster?

I just bought a brand new Firestorm Lite. Got it set up at 65 lbs. with a 29inch draw and 80% let off. I'm shooting carbon arrows with 100 grain broadheads. I have string leeches, a loop and a peep...

RE: new bow suggestions for less than $300?

A PSE Firestorm Lite is only 100 dollars more. I've heard that's one fast bow. And I love the 30" axle to axle length too.

I'm considering saving up a little bit more and buying that one....

I have $300 worth of gift certificates for Bass Pro shop. I would love to get a new bow, but MAN! they are expensive.

There are a couple of options for a PSE, Pearson, and one from Browning. I...

RE: Lost one.

Okay, I'll be the dissenting one...

You're sure to get some criticism, maybe even a lot...but the facts are that bowhunting brings with it more risk than gun hunting. We should review our...

RE: ALWAYS USE YOUR FULL BODY HARNESS, EVEN WHEN CLIMBING!!

well, I gotta tell you, I'm not sure. As of yet I put the vest on, climb my tree, then secure it to the trunk when I'm up there. I know this isn't the best, but there are some circumstances that make...

Big rub + small scrape = what?

I've found 4 big rubs within 50 yards of my treestand just yesterday. They are on saplings about 3 inches in diameter, so pretty large saplings. The rubs are something like 18-20 inches tall on each...

I was STALKED tonight

Been reading this thread for a while and just couldn't stand it any longer...I don't believe it. I don't doubt that something weird happened, but it's been blown out of proportion. If it did happen...

RE: What do you all bring up the tree with you??

man, you guys are killing me with all the stuff you take in the tree with you. I guess if I was going to sit there all day long I'd take some of that stuff, but I'm a minimalist. My bow, flashlight,...

RE: ALWAYS USE YOUR FULL BODY HARNESS, EVEN WHEN CLIMBING!!

I'm usually one of those guys that reads these kinds of threads, nods politely, sympathizes with the poor guy that it talks about and then goes on my merry way.

But this one got to me...probably...

What kind of stand?

I just bought a Lone Wolf last year and am using it every single time I go out. What model was your friends? The hand climber or the sit and climb? That's a little disconcerting to hear about.

RE: Got one!

As far as worrying about it bolting out into traffic...the thought did cross my mind, but I felt confident enough that it would stay in the woods. Now, I didn't have to worry about it with my lucky...

ever use a safty vest harness?

I've recently seen safety harnesses that are incorporated into a vest. Usually they're reversible, orange on one side, camo on the other.

Anyone used these yet? It seems like it'd be much...

How high is too high?

Been watching some videos recently. The most striking thing about the 'pros' is how high their stands are. It looks like those guys are 20 and 25 feet up. Is this normal?

I would estimate my...
