? for trap door arrow rest users.

I've been using the trap door rest for a while, but after so many practice shots it seems that when I draw my arrow makes too much noise. I fear that it will alert deer within close range. Any...

RE: CAUTION Local dealer leases hunting property

Same thing happened to me five years ago. I hunted grouse and deer with my uncle and cousins on some property that changed owners and was turned into a hunting preserve where everyone now has to pay...

RE: Hang bow or keep in hand?

I do a little of both.Depends on the situation for me. If I'm hunting thicker cover, I try to keep my bow in hand because deer tend to pop up and dissappear quickly especially in early season before...

RE: Your odor from that mouth

I know scent is an important thing to mask, but c'mon. What do you guys do when you have to fart? Not everyone can afford the luxury of scent control suits to mask the methane from the butt.

RE: What's the best climber made?

I luv my loggy climber. It's light and easy to pack in and out. Quick set up also. I suggest using the optional climbing aid unless you like hugging trees. The seat is very comfortable with the ample...

RE: Where to put stand

Find the main food source. The deer will likely be coming from the food source to the bedding area in the early morning hours. In the evening it would be wise to set up shop close to the food source....

RE: Does this sound ethical to you!

That's five deer in just the last three years not the last thirteen. We just started hunting this place hard about three years ago when my FIL purchased the extra acreage that we now hunt. Anyway,...

RE: how often you practice?

Three times per week during the months of July, August and September. I spend too much time on the streams during spring and early to mid-summer. Usually 20 - 30 shots. Winter time is spent tying...

RE: Does this sound ethical to you!

To those who think that I'm the prick for arguing my point I'd have to say that you are wrong. I've hunted this land for close to 13 years when hardly anyone hunted it. Now there are many who hunt...

RE: Does this sound ethical to you!

My feelings were made very clear. He ended up shouting because he thought I was trying to tell him how to run his property which I wasn't. It got a little ugly after that. Problem still not solved....

RE: Winn Free Flight Release C10 model

Great release. I've used it for eight years now. Like the other said, it is hard to do anything with that hand especially taking a fat dip.

RE: Does this sound ethical to you!

Maybe your right about it being principles, but when I hang my stand I make sure that there are no stands within at least 100 yards. If he had spent a little time scouting I'm sure that our stand...

Does this sound ethical to you!

My buddy & I placed our treestands on the property we hunt back in August. Great deer hotspots. Problem is when my buddy went to check his stand and place trail markers last week he found that...

How do you call deer in close early in season?

I've had success calling buck in with bleat and grunt calls but usually in pre-rut and during full rut. I know buck in early season respond differently than they do during rut stages. I've seen...

RE: nap 2000 drop away on mighty mite?

Don't know about the nap 2000, but I have an 04 Mighty Mite and since it is such a short bow with short cable movement I opted for the Trap Door arrow rest. No cable or strings attached and works...

RE: deer coming in WHILE putting up tree stands

Happened to me two years ago in the third week of the season. I was climbing with my loggy climber when half way up a nice eight came barreling down the trail and stopped broadside at twenty yards....
