RE: Should shotguns have scopes?

I have a Trijicon 1.25-4 scope on my rifled Beretta ES100. I use it as a red dot (x1.25) at close range and switch to x4 when I am anticipating shots up to 150 yards. Trijicon Accupoint scope allows...

RE: Head shot on does

No head shots and no .22 for deer. My neighbor shots deer with .22 off season and then he brags about it. He is such a “good shot” that he picks them off at 100 yards with head shots! I can...

RE: Tattoos???

Not sure that it is a good idea. In my book it can bring a bad luck to have a tattoo of potential “mark” on my body. Who knows if somebody’s slug wont hit this target?
But I am a bit...

RE: Field dressing a deer sucks

Never bothered me. I see it as a part of a hunt and it is a part of showing the respect to the harvested game. As of an alternative- I know a guy in Europe who does photo hunting. He has a nice...

How many shots do you carry in the woods?

Just my curiosity, but could be a good info for the new to MLing.
I usually carry 6 pre-measured loads and about 8 primers (209s in my case). Never had to use more than one spare in last five years...

RE: Cleanup - Remove barrel from receiver or not?

IMHO it depends on the gun design and I can speak only for the Remington 700ML (sold it to my friend) and current SS Omega with camo thumbhole stock.
I use to remove Remington’s barrel only...

[Thank you for posting this info. I am very impressed and do not see why it could not be possible from good solid rest. Off hand I would not shoot at the game 300 yards away even with 300 Win. Magnum...

Vortex Stokes and Razors

Also it is important to know that Razors glass (possible Stoke's glass too) is made in Japan, while the rest of Vortex optic is manufactured in China. That is why there is such a price gap in Vortex...

So I have both binos and the difference is shocking

Somebody said that binoculars are like shoes-you cannot make a correct decision without trying one.
I have both 8x32 and 10x32 and the difference in low light is astounding. So 10x32 will be...

RE: Which Scope Do You Use?

I am very happy with Trijicon Accupoint 3-9x40. You can use it with both eyes open and it makes it easy to hit moving target. Also it does not need batteries for illumination.
It is not cheap, but...

Omega cleaning dilemma-need some help to make a decision

Recently I replaced my Remington 700ML with a new thumbhole T/C Omega.

RE: 777 powder FF vs FFF question

RE: Trijicon AccuPoint Scopes

My Accupoint 3-9 will be home next week. I ordered it for my T/C Omega. Most of the time when I hunt deer, shots are from 40 to 80 yards, but must be very quick on a moving target. I can set...
