RE: Gun with most sentimental value.

My dad owns a few guns that were his grandfathers that carry sentimental value. I think my favourite is a customized Mauser action.35 Whelen though. The 12 gauge 'Chester 97 is really nice too...

RE: Fathers Day gift ideas for Elk Hunt

Does he have a GPS? I'm sure it'd come in handy on any hunt, I'm not sure how much an eTrex Legend runs anymore, but it's a solid little unit

RE: Help choosing a hunting rifle

If you don't have one already, buy a .22 first and get the shooting basics down. The absolute worst thing you can do is to buy a gun with too much recoil right off the bat. If you have a .22, ignore...

RE: The Lakers Were Not Takers

That's usually how Laker fishing in the Spring goes. Yeah, they're up closer to the surface, but they're also spread out a lot more instead of concentrated around one or two deep holes in the lake....

Refinishing rifle stock

Hey,

I've spent the last two weeks stripping and sanding my stock, and I'm about to pick the oil to finish it with. Do you suggest BLO or Tung Oil? I've heard Tung Oil takes longer to get done...

RE: CZ 550 FS 6.5x55 Swede

Beautiful gun. I've been shooting the 6.5x55 for 4 years and I've been really impressed with it. My dad carries it every fall for moose ;)
