i couldnt agree more here it dosnt matter if your pulling 40 or 80lbs if the deer hears it chances are its gona jump the string and end up in a miss or worse a wounded deer. but i dont think a 80 lbs...

a 50lb bow is going to kill the same amount of deer as a 60lb and a 60lb will kill just as many as the 70lb pull. so...

if i where you i would go with a heavy arrow. figure out how heavy it can be and still shoot in the 280fps range,that is by far a lot faster then you'll need and you will get a lot more KE.

70 yards is pretty far! i would work a lot more at like 50 then when your groups improve move back to 60 then when your shooting good groups from there move back to 70, that should reduce the amount...
