RE: installing beaver "balls" how to?

I puy Beaver Balls on the self bow that I made for my kid. They work great! The next string I put on my Super Diablo is going to have BB's on it.

RE: installing beaver "balls" how to?

Make sure you remove them from the Beaver first. The added weight of the Beaver will adversely affect your bow speed.

RE: New Upland Hunter

Jim B,
Your best bet is to go online and look up the Virginia Game and Fish or DNR, or whatever they call it there. Their site should give you answers to quite a few of the questions that you have.

How often do you guys clean your muzzleloaders and how do you go about it? Or should I say how often do you perform maintenance, because it's not really a clean it once deal. I know that I need to...

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Tred is welcome in my camp anytime! I respect a man that sets his standard, then sticks by it. He would rather not get a deer, than cut corners to harvest...

Go to the Iowa DNR site. It lists all the public areas. You should have no trouble finding someplace to go.

RE: how many pheasants do you kill in a season?

I am a resident of Iowa and hunt mostly public land. I have been harvesting around 20-25 birds per year. I see a lot more, but I enjoy the hunt, not the kill.

"Party hunting" is not legal in Iowa. I wouldn't want to hunt with someone who shoots my birds for me anyway. I just see the kid as wanting some attention on here. Lets not burn him at the stake.
