Tried beaver over the week end

Had a cooking at the farm and decided to try a beaver that was in the freezer.
Not knowing what to expect I wraped in foil with some bacon on top and put in oven at 200 temp for 6 hrs.
Pleasant...

Boil or pressure cook. Trim off fat and slice in thin strips. Mixin cooked noodles with mushroom ;creme cheese and top with bread crumbs. bake to light brown on top.

Deer fries tast like lamb fries.

Skin and slice long way into halves or quaters vdepending on size.

Take roast or whatever cut and slice one half thick and unroll as you slice until you have large half in. thick piece. Season anyway you like and lay strips of bacon and rool up ( like jellyroll )...

Par boil or pressure cook. Then slice into slivers and put in mushroom rravey or make like beef strogunoff (SPELLING ) and serve over noodles.

I soak all my fish in buttermilk.
Yes works on bass. I normaly don't keep large bass though.
Most of my fish are crappie and bluegill with a few smaal bass and walleye when I am kucky.

I have done it both ways.
I also use a gannon milk jug. Cut out the top but leave the handle. Put crushed ice in the bottom and on the sides then make sure you have it covered with water.
